There is currently a 763 in the EVA hangars in Taipei in what I assume is the current/new colours (white fuselage, large titles).

I was wondering if anyone knew of it's identity and registration please?

I'll try to head out to the airport this weekend CX and see if I can find anything. It'll be good to see a different livery here Big grin

Should be one of the "new" 767-300s Varig has ordered, mostly from China.

Thanks! Looking forward to some sort of confirmation.

I know they are getting some 767s from Air China, but these are not done in Taiwan but in China itself.

EGAS is authorized to work on the 767 -- a number of BR762's were refurbished at EGAS before being moved on to new operators. I've seen an LY B767 at EGAS as well as one for a UK charter company (MyTravel maybe?)

yes I know that they can work on 767s....I often see them there, Brunei, El Al, SkyMark and yes I saw the MyTravel ones too.

I meant that Mainland chinese aircraft are not often in TPE for maintenance. They would have to fly via a third destination like HKG or MFM because of the ban on direct flights (apart from approved holiday charters and medical evac flights) and also they would have to have their registrations altered at that third place first before going onwards to TPE and for that reason it is very unusual to see a Mainland chinese aircraft in TPE. A recent sighting was two Shanghai MD11Fs in TPE, although they carried their previous EVA registrations while there and were delivered via MFM.

Where else is RG getting 76's from? Perhaps it's one of them ... anyway, I'll see what I can find out.

BTW, I asked this in its own thread, but do you know if the 77W will be in TPE this weekend?
