So, Just How Many Airlines Are There Now?

In my day there were less than 30 world wide. Now? must be hundreds! Most of them have nice modern jet fleets.. anyone know how many airlines are out there grinding it out today?

This gives a good idea of the number of airlines today. With so many airlines out there, I am sure many of them are unknown to even the biggest aviation experts.

By 1925 there were at least 200 private companies in the USA alone trying to vet it out as pioneers in the commercial aviation industry!!!!
