Hi everyone,
I was really amazed to see this sight today, Oct.17th, at around 6:16 pm when people were looking up around Baldwin, NY, very close to JFK, to see two jets almost on top of each other. They looked like ERJs, maybe at 3000 feet, they were flying east bound very slow and what looked like an aerial refueling. I couldn't take a pic, but they were so in-line that it looked like one plane with two sets of wings. Does anyone have an idea of what that might be?

maybe photo ops for marketing purposes ?????????????????????????????? I grew up in a military town in the south, and you would occassionally see refueling....but over NYC??

It looked like two identical jets, could they be practicing formation flying? Definitely pax jets, CRJ-900 size? Flying one above the other, very close.
Again, this was at 6:16pm about 8 miles east of JFK, I could see lots of departing flights all over.
