According to amadeus, Air Malta is set to reinstate its Cairo service with a weekly redeye flight, leaving Malta on Fridays at 0100, arriving at Cairo at 0300.

Quoting 777way (Reply 3): Its seasonal, will they return to the proper Middle East region?
It is indeed seasonal.
I really wish Air Malta return to the Gulf, with a few flights a week to Dubai and perhaps Doha, although I don't know if they'd work, especially with EK flying the DXB-LCA-MLA route 5x weekly. Tel Aviv may be a more viable destination.

Hi,
Any chance of Air Malta serving Algiers? If only a seasonal service. They serve Casablanca and Tunis already, just Algiers is missing in North Africa!
On a side note, I was reading about Malta and it seems like a great place to visit! I'm headed to Algeria this summer, and a round trip ticket on KM for three days from TUN is only 228.00 USD (taxes included).Seems like a great price! Might check it out!
Cheers,
Imad

AH fly their 738s and 736s a couple of times a week to Malta from ALG during the peak summer months already. I tend to think that that pretty much covers the demand.

I think they are only charters.

Yes flights tickets to Malta are very cheap from Tunisia. I think Air Malta is struggling with this route since Malta introduced Visa to Tunisians. Don't know how long will the route last.

I am highly confident that KM's MLA-TUN should last long. Tunisia is a very popular cheap and cheerful holiday destination for many Maltese. Most of KM's flights cater for Maltese holidaymakers, so the visa issue should not be a problem.

AH332 Malta / Gozo are indeed great places to visit. I spent 10 days there on both islands and really enjoyed it. Air Malta used to fly to Tel Aviv but stopped a few years ago.

Unfortunately, Air Malta is only operating charters to Tel Aviv at the moment, and they tend to be few and somewhat far between. I believe that Tel Aviv would be a viable route if marketed properly.
