i have heard unconfirmed reports that FED-EX are thinking of moving there UK operations to EMA from Stanstead as they were really impressed with operations at EMA when there was that hijacking at stanstead a few months ago.
anyone else heard about this or is it all false information.

Gee, if they do I guess that would be great for you. But I would doubt FedEx would leave STN for EMA completley as its the only? London airport they serve. Maybe they might serve EMA but they won't move everything from STN. Haven't heard a thing bout it like. Has the CX 744F started to EMA yet?

I havent heard anything abour Fedex moving to EMA, and I would be very sceptical as well, for a start where would they go? When phase two of the DHL facility is erected there would be very little room for any new freight facilities. It would also mean quite a heavy presence of all three major players would it not, as aren't UPS still running a certain amount of traffic through EMA ?

I would be most surprised if Fedex walked from STN. London is their largest market and EMA does nothing for that. If you have been to STN recently you will have seen the new cargo sheds. These are for Fedex starting this year. There are ramp spaces for 12 aircraft. I think on this occassion you have duff information.
The Cathay starts next Friday but I do not know the time, though if it operates as it did to STN then it should be in at 07.00 and out at around 10.00. Do not take my word for it if you are planning to see it.

If memory serves correctly, doesnt Fedex have a complaint or something about their landing rights in London. Cant remember the exact details but it might be a ploy to get the UK to agree with their fifth freedom cargo rights etc. Just a thought.
