It looks like Miami charters AA9401. Usually it is a 752, but occasionally (I would assume this week as well) it is a 763.

NY Giants charter UA9905, also a 752/763, from EWR. Miami goes from FLL.

That's a long way for Miami to fly to lose a game.

I wonder what the Brits would think if the game was Dolphins Vs. Rams. Aren't both teams 0-7?? anyhow it would be nice to capture that 742 again. By the way if the phins are flying out on the 25th, i saw in another thread that the 742 is already in FLL? would NW just allow the plane to sit there days before the actual flight? I know its no longer in their fleet for regular passenger service but wouldn't NW want the bird to at least sit at their base in case something comes up and is needed for a quick trip or a quick maintenance check?

I can't help but smile when I think of an FA trying to serve the dinky little meals to some of the 300+ pound linemen.

You can bet that there will be a lot of empty middle seats on those planes.  Smile

NFL charters don't get catered like regular flights...they have lots of everything whenever they want...the best part of working a sports charter is if the team loses, they don't eat anything!! Lots of leftovers for the ramp!

FWIW, I met a UA 747 CA this week in NYC who said that SHE was flying the Giants (as the CA) on Thursday to London. Very impressive gal. Good looking too!

Knowing Miami's luck with injuries lately they'll probably be late because of a mechanical.  irked

They are still my team though, and always will be so, GO FINS!!

I assume the games are being played at Wembley stadium? If so it would be easier for them to fly into LHR as it's only a few miles from Wembley, but i suppose it depends on which part of London their hotel and training facilities are located.

...sigh.. Sad

I no longer watch Dolphins games...far cry during the Marino years when I used to travel to various cities to watch our Phins play...

Before the season started, I was planning on going to the game this Sunday..good thing I'm not...

..yes it is in Wembley, in fact, initial requests were well over 300,000 seats (no typo)... Wow! However, given how poorly the Dolphins have played (0-7 and one of the worst teams in the league), I wouldn't be surprised to not see the stadium full...

Me Too! Phins Phorever...

Wish I could fly to LON to see them play. My first game was ATL @ MIA (and I lived in ATL and worked at Hartsfield).

I want to live in an old and converted 727...

It's be full all right but they'd be wondering why the posts are turned upside and down and why you get three "goals" for kicking the ball over the cross bar, LOL.

I presume they will coming on different planes. Also, what I gave in replies 1 and 2 were what they USUALLY charter here in the states. They don't go to London all that often.

LOL yeah. Then again, they do have Rugby which also have those "weird goal posts"

I just wonder why NFL is coming to europe, after the NFL Europe league is a goner after this season, which were a failure somehow? Sure it's a "nice" oppertunity to show us europeans what kind of sport it is on a professional level (lots of amateur clubs around here), but a professional league in Europe just isn't going to happen, due to alot of reasons. They probably pissed off alot of fans who had full season cards by doing this move. I agree the 'fins sucks unfortunatly, I have a Marino jersey too... it's an easy game for the Giants to win, unless Eli decides to play like shit as he tends to at times.... he's still a far cry from his older brother. I'll watch it on for sure though. EDIT: There's one thing about NFL that's really good though - no hooliganism yet. You can actually be in your oppenents camp without getting beat up afterwards. I guess? it's because the sport is pretty violent on the field compared to soccer...

Dolphins are training on Friday at London Wasps training ground in Acton, West London.

As for the game it's a sell out and I'll be there, just wish it was the Bills coming but there probably not the best team to showcase the NFL in a foreign country.  Big grin

On second thoughts I just remembered the Dolphins record.  ziplip
