As the other thread about AirTran safety remains alive I will again pose the premise that ValueJet should NOT be blamed for the everglades crash....it was the fault of SabreJet the oxygen canister people.

That is basically correct. AirTran has been watched closely by the FAA and as far as I know they have found nothing serious to put the finger on. Which not was the case with airlines like Alaska, American and America West ...
As a matter of fact, I'm flying 2 legs with AirTran today - I'll let you know if I survive!!

Very true. When ValuJet took the materials from SabreJet they were assuming that the contents of the packages were properly prepared for shipping, and had no idea that there could be a problem with them...
