Are Condor and Arkia pretty much the only airlines who have 757-300s in their fleet currently. I know continental ordered 15 which is pretty cool. Who else has ordered them or likely to order some?

Well, WorldTraveller, I am currently asking myself if Lufthansa really "tests" the Condor B757-300 or if it's just a hint for Airbus. Basically, I do not think that any large airline needs to create signs like these to wake up its prefered manufacturer, so I expect Lufthansa ordering the B757-300 once in a while - as long as their "tests" are successful.

as far as i know, daniel, the tests lufthansa conducted to check the 757-300 were successfull. i hope we´ll hear from a decision soon, whether they´ll order it or not. i´d love to see the 757 being introduced into the LH fleet!
If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.

I heard the 753 was not extremely popular among the baggage handlers - they complained about the long narrow cargo compartments.
Another point is that LH needed two fingers in order to get a 50 min turn around time, whilst the A310 has 45 min with one finger.

NORTHWEST has been evaluating the B757-300 as a possible replacement to their DC-10 fleet. They had one in MSP in November for about a week testing how it fit their galley equipment, gate space, ramp equipment etc.
Dont be surprised if they make an announcement for an order in the 1Q of 2001
