Alleghro?

OK. I'm sitting on my BA 747-400 at SFO last Monday night and next to us is parked a US registered 727 with the titles 'Alleghro' down it sides.

Assuming this a/c does not belong to the owners club of the similarly named classic British car of the 70's (with a square steering wheel - I jest not), is Alleghro a start up scheduled or charter carrier.

For those who are interested, I am about to post a trip report, which includes a ride on BA's latest 777 'MH' and my belief the BA World Traveller is better than AA 1st Class - I should know as I did them back to back.

I know a Mexican charter and schedule airlines named Allegro. They do fly to SFO a lot. But if I´m correct most of their 727 are registered in Mexico. Was it white or blue??

Allegro Airlines of Mexico flies charters out of SFO for a local tour operator called SunTrips. You probably saw N727FV which is a re-engined "Super27"
