In an other post I started congratulating SQ for starting A380 service, I mentioned the now they a super size Boeing quad jet, the 747, a smaller size Airbus quad jet, the A340 and now a super size Airbus quad jet, the A380. After that, I was thinking the only Boeing quad jet that smaller than a 747 is an the 707 family. So I was wondering, when was the late SQ Boeing 707 flight?
Also, SQ DC10s came to mind when a I was thinking about there 707, so when was SQ last DC10 flight?

After that, I thought that the only boeing quad jet other than a 747 was the 707 family of aircraft. So I was wondering, when did the last SQ Boeing 707 flight take placed?
Also, I was thinking of SQ's DC-10s while I thought about the 707. When was the last SQ DC-10 flight?
I wish I had a good answer for you, 747400sp. I too, would be interested in knowing the retirement dates of these aircraft - and who they went to, if anyone?

Last DC10 flights, although I don't know where, were done in April of 1983. 3 going to Bangladesh Biman and 2 to CP Air and Varig respectively.

I remember taking a ride in the middle seat way on down the back of a SQ DC-10 in 1982. I didn't like the seat much, but even then the cabin service was exceptional.

According to the SQ timetable up to 29Oct 83 their DC-10s still operated to Dharan,Bangkok,Hong Kong and the Taipei Seoul flight. From 30Oct 83...the timetable did not reflect any DC-10s anymore. If i can remember i think the last flight was either Bangkok or Hong Kong.As for the 707...timetable shows up to 31Mar 1981 operated to Madras(Chennai) and Taipei Seoul. Most likely the DC-10s replaced the 707s on the Taipei Seoul route. And SQ converted quite a few of their 707s to freighters.
I joined SQ in April 84..and started on the 727s and A300s...and by the end of that year...i was the first batch of FAs to operate the A310s and 757s.Like the DC-10s the 757s didnt last long in SQ's fleet and they had only 4...and i think for the DC-10s they had only 5.The DC-10s lasted for less than 5yrs...as they were delivered and used on the inaugural US flights SIN-HKG-GUM-HNL-SFO in 79.
