Just joined the site, been floating around for a while.
We will be flying to CPT in January, returning February. We will be transiting FRA. What are the odds that we will have the new upgraded IFE on those flights. I know we are on an AC 767 so I guess the possibility of new IFE is not bad. But what about the LH 346? On the return we are on an SA 346 and an unknown AC aircraft.

as soon as your booked in economy you won't see any IFE on LH birds. they're still testing two systems, but this could take a long time until all aircrafts are equipt with them.
in business class you'll have IFE.

The tests have been completed. The plan is to start installing the new systems in the Airbuses starting in November and they are to be completed by April, so there is a chance that you will have a PTV.
