IND-HNL Seasonal With NW?

I feel 95% sure this was a BS posting on wikipedia but on Oct 22nd someone added NW was running IND-HNL seasonal. They added this to the IND and HNL pages. I deleted it from the IND page because I can find no evidence to support this. Is this BS as I suspect or is NW going to run this route seasonal? I could see then running IND-SFO-HNL with a 757 maybe but thats it. IND-HNL is too long for even the international version of the 752. If this is BS whoever edits the HNL page should probably dump that route as well. This route was the only one added by that user which seemed odd for a hoax. At least to me this route isn't all that interesting to start a hoax over.

Actually NW 221 operates IND-HNL (with 2 stops of course) daily direct B757-300 service... Details as follows....

NW 221 IND-MSP 9:30a-10:24am
NW 221 MSP-SFO 11:40a-1:40p
NW 221 SFO-HNL 3:15p-5:34p

There is no return direct flight. There are numerous connections available on the return.

Whomever did the entry probably did not check too closely.

Yeah that seems more likely. For whatever reason NW doesn't load that 753 flight from IND more than lets say 6 weeks out. They've run it for a while now but it seems loaded for one time table at a time. Perhaps that is what made the person think it is season. Unless they know something we don't which I doubt in this case. IND-HNL just seemed incredibly unlikely nonstop. It requires widebody service. NW isn't going to put a 744 on that route and it would seem like a huge waste to put an A333 or A332 on the route.

They wouldn't do something that stupid would they?

I remember when Wikipedia posted a new daily Memphis-Heathrow. It never happened and that wasn't too long ago that it was posted.

Actually, the flight is loaded around 1 year out. The flight shows daily. Not sure where you got the six weeks from but below is the schedule record as submitted... You can see the KL,DL and CO codeshares on the flight.

I was a bit surprised when I heard that my IND-MSP trip next week will be on an 753. This seems like too much aircraft for that route. Was that plane only put on because they wanted a direct flight from IND-HNL?

Hey Indy, how about we reignite the suggestion that NW start IND-SAN-HNL r/t? ...Something about killing 2 birds with one... (OK, I have to admit that I've also tried pushing the idea on CO threads for CLE-SAN-HNL.   Probably not any more likely a possibility.)

That 753 has been on the route for about a year. Amazingly enough it fills well.
