According to an article in The Times. If it depends on SQ they will not allow couples who booked a double bed in
R-class to engage in lovemaking.
"if couples engage in inapropriate activities we will kindly request them to stop. There are acceptable and unacceptable
things in an airplane. The same rules apply in the double suites as in the rest of the airplane." a SQ spokesman said.

Australian couple Tony and Julie Elwood who where one of the first couples to book such a suite on the Ebay flight
don't understand. "They give you a double bed, privacy and loads of champagne but won't allow you in the most natural
act that could come of this"

Considering the suite's walls do not extend to the top of the fuselage (based on the pictures I have seen), they're "private", but not private, so it seems a reasonable request.

I think the statement by SQ is a bit of legaleze. Kind of the same as "right of admission reserved". I'm sure in practice they won't police this. However, if other passengers complain - say a particular couple is a little noisy - then SQ wants the legal right to order the offending passengers to stop.

If that is the case, then wouldn't those customers not want to travel on SQ at all? Maybe someone will be seated next to a member of the opposite gender who is a stranger.

what about hotels and beaches and elevators and office spaces and lavatories of any kind? are you aware people do it all the time? maybe I am too European on this subject

That's wrong! They can be in the same presence as long as it's in a public place. That way nothing can happen between them.

Although there are a bunch of Muslim passengers on SQ, Singapore being a majority Muslim country, I believe the main reason as stated above is for the respect of the other passengers. Again, like it was said above, that's what the bathrooms are for!  Smile

An airplane, or especially a suite, is not a public space. SQ feels the need to give the impression that they are not endorsing sexual practices in the presence of its muslim customers.

131 VHHYI : Pity Randy didn't hear about this a few weeks ago, he would've made comedy gold about it. "A380.. so quiet people in J can fear people in F screwing"
132 3201 : Well of course not. In R-class, the woman can get undressed and the guy can take his shirt off, and they can have simulated sex as long as the sheets
133 Post contains images Starlionblue : Czbbflier, that is hilarious. That's "odd". I approve of course, but it seems strange considering what I have heard. BTW I find the term "novelties" a

137 Semsem : Will they install video cameras to check on the passengers?
138 Luv2cattlecall : Texas state law also doesn't allow for sex stores, so they're sold as novelties. I'm willing to bet that has some roots from merging the word "novel"
139 NorthstarBoy : I have a sneaking suspicion that the request was made by the head of the Inflight Services department. Picking up dirty dishes is one thing, but at so

142 Flymad : Same applies to the hotel bed you sleep in!
143 Avek00 : Yes, it is. And I can't wait for such a carrier to then get sued when one party claims the sex was nonconsenual.
144 Luv2cattlecall : Not to sound dumb, but is that the top floor or main floor?
145 Post contains images Revelation : Semantics. It's got a door, a bed, bedclothes, etc. As said elsewhere, people will bonk either alone or with a partner in any other conceivable (ditt

152 Post contains images MBJ2000 : Keesje, you made my day! I guess with such an offer, SQ could easily buy another 100 pcs A380 and fill them easily...

154 Post contains images EA CO AS : Look on the bright side - they didn't say anything about blowjobs.
155 Orion737 : I hope you are talking in flight hairdryers here. I would need my knee pads on for the other these days.
156 Post contains images Trinxat : It's not only the sounds/noise but also the stink!! If they do not close up the suites up to the ceiling, it's going to be pretty obvious what's up i
157 Xtoler : I see why this post was taken out. This is getting pretty raunchy, but I'm still LMAOF! My coccyx is starting to hurt!
158 NEMA : Approaching 30k views to this thread as i write this...just shows what your really wanting on here, talk about enthusiasts!!
159 Orion737 : I find flying a tiring experience. lat thing I want to do is expend energy, puffing and panting within hearing of other passengers. I like my privacy.

171 Post contains links Paparadzi : The reason is simply because they're Singaporeans. Check this link.

175 Ikramerica : Amtrak doesn't prohibit sex in their cabins, which are smaller than the suites. At least, I don't think they do, or if they do, they don't enforce it.
176 Post contains images 747400sp : Well you got to think about it, there may be children on board this flight, and they do not need to hear couples having sex. Do not get me wrong, I f
