"Chester" move over, There's a new lady in town.... (If you have to ask who Chester is, then you've never seen an AS plane). The tail does look good. As for the rest, it looks not unlike most other airlines you see these days.

Is "Chester" your name for the Alaska Airline's eskimo or something? I never knew he had a name. Yeah, they could make a T-tail couple, except she looks like a younger woman, and I don't know at what airport they'd be next to eachother...ok, Im gonna shut up now.

Later

Older man/ Younger woman relations are rather common, so who knows what may happen between these two over time.... As I understand it, AS employees gave Chester his name shortly after he first appeared years ago.

I sort of miss the hippie kind of pink red slashes on the fuselage. Maybe too much 70s but I prefer these schemes above those white bodies.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Not bad, but they could have put some color into the fuselage instead of just the tail....

As for Chester, he kinda looks like Bob Marley if you look at it in a certain light.

Well they COULD be seen to be paired up at terminal 2 or 3 at LAX if they adopt that livery on the Diesel-10's.

Tail looks awesome, but the rest of the body is just okay.

Will they oufit ALL their planes in that livery, and If so how long will it take?

According the to Hawaiian Airlines press release, the new livery will only appear on the new 717's. The new livery will not appear on the DC-10's as they plan on replacing them in the next couple of years.

I like it a lot. The tail is beautiful, and the rest of the plane appears to be elegantly simple. I also can't wait to see what they replace the DC10s with, and how that livery looks on those.

I agree they should have done something else with the fuselage. My suggestion would be some elegant dashes on each side of the "Hawaiian" titles.

I really like the tail. The Hibiscus is a nice touch. That woman does not look like she'd put up with any crap.

Aren't they going to replace the DC-10's with 767's? I think I read where the new contract with the pilots covers 767's.
