From the following report, it states that there are 4 Tu-214s currently on order. I can account for only 3:

2 Tu-214S for Dalavia
1 Tu-214 for Krasair

Who is the other Tu-214 for? I am thinking it may be 2 for Krasair...although I have only seen an order for one.

The certificate of manufacture for the Tu-214 was handed over on 10 January to representatives of Kazan Aviation Production Association (KAPO). The aircraft has passed certification according to international standards.

The 210 passenger aircraft has a range of 7200 kms (without refuelling) and costs 25 million dollars. For example, the cost of a "Boeing" is 35 million dollars. The first machine was manufactured by KAPO in 1996, and more than 200 Russian enterprise were involved in the manufacture of the Tu-214. Within four years the plane passed tests; now it is ready to be produced. By the way, the official delegation which brought the certificates, flew from Moscow to Kazan by the Tu-214.

In the opinion of experts, the new Kazan plane has a chance to sell on the international markets. To tell the truth, for the beginning it should win the domestic Russian market. KAPO have already received a order for 4 planes. Two are almost ready, and in March tests should begin tests on one of the aircraft.

That is quite a bit od range for a narrow-body. Is there an ER version with a range of arounf 9000km? I think I read that somewhere but I might have just imagined it. This is very good news, I can't wait to see some pictures of "the Russian 757". Maybe even one in Lufthansa Cargo livery. By the way, what ever happened to the Tupolev and Lufthansa negotiations about Lufthansa acquring the TU-204 cargo?

The TU 204-300, or TU 234, has a range of 9000 km. The TU 234 has a 6 m shorter fuselage, it's a 166 seater. (The 204-100 & 200 have 214 seats). The TU 234 has not yet entered service. (Do you know when ?)

I think Aeroflot will also order some of these planes. BEcause they are also renewing there fleet.
It's said that they must buy Russian planes from the Russian goverment.
Does anybody know if this is true?

Hardly many can understand Aeroflot these days. What kinnda fleet size are they planing to have, if theyorder Russian narrowbodies in addition to apparent 20+ order for Airbuses?

Ok, I assume they might get rid of all Tu-134s and Tu-154s, but won't really replace the long-range IL-62s with medium-range A-320s and Tu-214s, will they?
