FR Sells "naughty" FA Calendar On Board

Starting next Friday, Ryanair will sell calendars on board, showing its own FA's in "exciting ways". It will show both male and female FAs and spokesman David Gering says that although they'll show "the occasional breast part" it will be decent enough.

The revenue will go to Orbis, a charity organisation that helps avoiding blindness among children in developing countries.

The articles (in Dutch only) mention a Ryanair press release, which I haven't been able to find.

Disclaimer: I included the picture that the article showed - I am not sure if this picture really came from the calendar! Well at least MOL is already excited...

Just goes to show - just when you thought FR couldn't get any more chav-like, they'll pull another stunt like this. How can anyone take them seriously ?

That poor 737!

Well at least the calender is for charity and not profit for FR. It's a good idea, I'm sure lots of chavs flying to Spain for some cheap winter sun will buy them.

You just need to take their financials and stock price seriously.

Only needs 5% of profitd to qualify as a charity I think.

Jeez, can Ryanair sink any lower? The images are utter trash - they could at least have gotten a creative photographer in to shoot something of worth for a calender... that is if this isn't just a hoax - none of the pictures shown feature FR aircraft... although the editorial department could have just been short so dived into image banks for them.

Just looked at that pic again. i assume you noticed that it is a pic of women from the 70s or 80s? Look at the hairstyles. And they are far too old to be FR cabin crew, average age there would be 22-25.

Is Ryanair trying intentionally to become the "official airline of flying trash," or is it just the natural evolution of their "brand?"

I had that particular calendar. I have just completed a move and it's packed in a box somewhere! They are the self-proclaimed "Stews" from UA and most are still F/A's, although I don't know if they are still with UA.

They are protesting UA cutting their retirement benefits. The calendars are suggestive but no nudity.

Man, that's a huge...model.

Seriously, can I get a model that scale or are they made specially?

Now, back on topic, any more images available? And am I the only one who finds it ironic that they're using visual sex appeal to benefit the blind?
