Hello All!
I was have noticed on the Airbus A330-300's, that are in the new colors, don't have the red stripe on the top of the winglet.
I thought that this was weird because the 757-200's have them.
Any Thoughts?

I think its because none of the other airbus planes have the red stripe on them and it was decided to not put it on the airbus.

The A330's winglet is fairly large so I'd guess that's not the reason... there's more than enough space there. I agree regarding the A320-series, but the A330?

That is true, but I think the bigger problem is that on a wing fence the red stripe would look uneven as opposed to the winglet. To even it out you would need to put one top and bottom. Just speculation.

I think it's simply a matter that the 757's winglets are so tall, that the added red breaks it up a bit and makes it look better compared to the tail.

Even the winglets on the A330 are much shorter than the 757, so the red tips aren't as necessary.

Interesting observation. I wonder if it was some sort of trade-off, as the logo appears on the winglets in the new colors, but the red stripe is missing, while it's the opposite for the old colors. (Red stripe present with no logo.)
