Currently Cirrus Airlines operate between Billund and Frankfurt in codeshare with LH. However LH appear to be starting their own service (operated by a Lufthansa regional airline I presume), so is the Cirrus service being axed?

I think LH want the E170 of C9 (D-ALIE) on other routes and send a CRJ instead to BLL. C9's second E170 (D-ALIA) operate four routes on behalf of LH already.

LH1001 HAJ-FRA 05:50 - 06:50
LH4370 FRA-TLS 08:05 - 09:45
LH4371 TLS-FRA 10:25 - 12:15
LH1104 FRA-LEJ 13:30 - 14:25
LH1107 LEJ-FRA 15:00 - 16:05
LH3814 FRA-BSL 16:50 - 17:45
LH3815 BSL-FRA 18:30 - 19:40
LH1012 FRA-HAJ 22:00 - 22:55 and overnight at HAJ

as mentioned in the thread starter. the current FRA-BLL service is not a LH flight, but just a codeshare. LH apparently decided to axe the codeshare and operate the service on its own.

the in post #1 mentioned wetlease of a C9 Embraer 170 is likely to continue next summer. that's whole different story.

yes it will be a BAe 146-300!
the schedule is already loaded to Amadeus:
LH3120 08:50 - 10:15
LH3122 16:35 - 18:00
LH3124 20:55 - 22:20

all flights operated by Eurowings as mentioned above

I assume C9 will discontinue FRA-BLL service with the E170. Do you know on which routes they will operate then?

FRA-BSL will mainly be with the ERJ-170 as per summer schedule, up to 4x daily.

Currently only one flight is on the ERJ-170...flew it recently...very cool aircraft!

none

so the question about the second E170 is now answered.

eventhough Amadeus still shows only 3x daily with E70 I presume FRA-BSL will be operated by C9 on behalf of LH 4x daily.
also new for the summer schedule: instead of LEJ they will fly to MRS with E70. the evening HAJ and morning TLS run will remain.

I like it too. it is really a nice aircraft and I'm so happy that they ordered a few of them for regional operations. I'm sure LH will also be happy with them in service.

On what basis are the Cirrus E170 flights operated for LH - are Cirrus a Lufthansa Regional airline again (they used by a Team Lufthansa member and then became independent, codesharing with LH as at present) or is this a lease of some sort?

C9 is not a member of Lufthansa Regional. on some routes, they codeshare with LH, but also they lease out their aircraft on a wetlease basis to LH and other airlines (currently also to LX).

so their partnership with LH is quite diverse.

As of summer 2008 schedule Cirrus 170 is to operate a new FRA-KRK-FRA flight.
