Well, another one bites the dust...on the wings of DL this time.

BTR-CVG nonstop service looks like it will be cancelled eff. 1/2/08. The flights are not in the system after that date.

BTR will then have eight daily nonstops to ATL and one to DCA...all Delta Connection flights.

Not including the new F9 service, BTR gained the following new routes after Katrina. Someone jump in if I left one out.

STL (AA), EWR (CO), LGA (DL), DCA (DL), MCO (DL), CVG (DL), ORD (AA)

What's left?

DCA and ORD.

wasn't the AA/STL route only temporary though while MSY was shut down after Katrina? I think once MSY opened back up AA discontinued this flight.

I think you're right. I seem to remember that.

When did MCO-BTR get canned?

I want to say at least six months ago. I haven't seen it in the schedules in a while.

If only TCA would have came through with the 742 BTR-MSY-SXM-BRU service.  Wink

Actually, the way they were advertising it:
was SXM-MSY-BRU-SXM 743, SXM-MSY-BTR-SXM A32x

...their website is still up and "advertising" by the way. Never could find out what became of their little outpost here.

That sounds right. They were going back and forth between so many diff. aircraft types it was hard to keep up.

We should put their old office to use somehow. Maybe Tom can join and he can sell prints of his photos.

I was just joking, really. It's just funny how they opened up an office and all. I guess they used the money they got from the state to do that.

$300,000 to open a brochure shop that no one knew about?
...nah, someone's sittin' on a beach somewhere with that money. And if you'll notice, Granny has gone awfully quiet about the retribution she promised on account of that.  mad

I'm sure some Louisiana politicians are or have been down there as well.

Granny is a joke nowadays. I may have a party up here on the day she leaves office for good.

...ya know, I wasn't really even of the mindset that they had their hand in it. Silly me, of course that'd be the case :-/
