Cayman Airways has 'updated' the look of their fleet, which includes getting rid of the beloved 'Sir Turtle' from the tails of the aircraft - and replacing it with the Cayman Coat of Arms.
For any Sir Turtle Fans... don't worry. KX didn't make turtle soup out of him. They've just re-located Sir Turtle closer to the front of their planes, just behind the forward door of their 737's.
The new look was unveiled yesterday at the Airlines base in Georgtown, Grand Cayman ( GCM ).
So far, one 737-400 has the new look, with the rest of the fleet to follow over the next year.

Looks like a 737-300 to me.
It is a total change then before. I am sure it will take me a little while to get used to but it is not bad just not what I expected.

I liked Sir Turtle being on the tail, but he is still on the plane. Otherwise i think it is great that they have changed their livery.
How long will it be before the entire fleet gets the new colors?

Damn it damn it! I knew this was happening 2 weeks ago but she was due to leave with a large vinyl covering the whole pain scheme. I was free Monday and even heard it leave around mid-day as KX1108 to GCM and I still did not bother. I just heard that our DGAC forced at the last moment the vinyl to be removed if not, it would not be able to depart. Good thing is that the next one coming in will leave the same, and still the 200's are to be done, oh well!
