"Over 160,000 travel professionals around the world have voted Oasis Hong Kong Airlines (Oasis) ¡¥Asia¡¦s Leading Budget Airline¡¦...... This announcement comes less than a week after Oasis was awarded the prestigious ¡¥New Airline of the Year¡¦ title at the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) Awards, in Singapore: acknowledging the airline for its contribution to the low fare, long-haul model, and in particular to the rapidly evolving aviation scene in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region."

"In September the airline was recognised as the ¡¥Best New Service¡¦ and ¡¥Best Business Class Carrier¡¦ at the 2007 World Low Cost Airline Congress Awards, held in London."

Oasis had recieved the following award in 2007

- Best New Services (World Low Cost Airline Congress Awards)

Congratulations to them!

I am however a little surprised of the award! Granted they offer very competitve fares between the LGW/YVR-HKG!

But their product is barely innovative and just reminds me of the long haul product offered by major carriers about 10yrs ago.

I was going to say! Their Business Class is just the same as the old SQ type (maybe different with their latest aircraft from ANA) and didn't exactly look top of the pile.

I think their bold venture deserves recognition, you get what you pay for I know, but aside of that the experience I had this summer was ok. A few minor glitches and the food wasn't great - but at least it's something!

now That makes sense! for a low cost carrier, i could Easily see how the old SQ business cabin would be leaps and bounds better than other low cost business cabins.

thanks for the fast feedback YLW and Plym!
