Looking forward seeing the first four-engine plane of TAM. I don't think their scheme is that boring, might be even quite nice on an A340.
Hopefully I'll be on it's first flight FRA-GRU on the 1st of December.

Interesting routing.Westbound SIN-SAO would just be around 16014km, but due to heads probably too much to make it nonstop. Eastbound via HNL the route is at least 23825km (more if it was seen over SJO). So a tiny lack of range causes her to make an extra way of about 8000km or more than 9h.

Quoting FCKC (Thread starter): PT-MSN was yesterday at GIG , painted in full JJ cs.
This is just an info i found on Skyliner-aviation , bringing an end about the fate of the ex AC 345 going to TAM or Air Comet.
Now , we know !!!!
With due respect, we knew it already, before Christofer, who was travelling, put it on Skyliner News.
It had been confirmed by people in SIN and HNL that Air Canada was ferrying the ac for TAM.

Guys,
I have some pics during painting at GIG and I am trying to put in here the hole week and I don´t know what is happening but it is not working...the photos are at the office and will try to put again tomorrow.
Last Friday the second one arrived at GRU and I also got some pics as it arrived.
Pls wait until tomorrow to see if I can put some pics here in this new post as I was trying to put in another one. Maybe that post had a problem.
You can go to photobucket.com, get yourself an account, upload the pictures there, post them here with the link that says "IMG" at the beginning. It should work fine.

27 AC777LR: I liked it better in AC's colours lol now is this plane just leased to TAM by AC or did they buy it from AC?
28 Cybergus: GORGEOUSSS!!! Gosh!! Hope someday they'll use it on the CCS route (Yeahh right...) Cheers Tavo
29 PM: Great plane (for looks, anyway) but one of the dreariest most pointless colour schemes there is. Sorry. Horrible.
30 Donzilasse: AC777LR TAM bought the two A345,s from AC. Lasse
31 AlitaliaMD11: Oh wow, it looks gorgeous! Looks more like an A340-600 then a -500 from that angle.
32 Thorben: I tend to disagree, this orange is very nice, if you ask me.
33 JJMNGR: For those who does not like this paint scheme ( I particular dont like the green and yellow details....horrible but like acft in general with RED or O
34 BlueShamu330s: Ok Photoshoppers, I have a challenge. I think all the TAM livery needs is a sash a la El Al, but in red, gold/yellow and green around the fuselage, an
35 Loalq: Really? Now that is good news. Todays' scheme is just awful. No "Proud to Be Brazilian" on this aircraft??
36 LipeGIG: Amazing ! Really gorgeous ! I'm sad.. just depart from GIG last weekend and i was not able to see the bird ! Both landing and departure on 15/33, the
37 LongHaul67: When I took off from SIN yesterday there was an AC A340 parked at the hangar area. Is this aircraft also bound for JJ?
38 MIAMIx707: The present livery of EL AlL is ugly. Too bad because TAM's original livery was more interesting to look at. Those serpentine lines might help some i
39 JJMNGR: No, as the order was just for 02 frames. Can tell you some more news are being expected for 1st trimester of 2008 in terms of acfts....I heard someth

41 JJMNGR: Seems something natural to think about but can tell you this has nothing to do with this..... Let´s talk about the possibility of 04 big birds that a
42 MaverickM11: But it has the high costs of the A340-500! What a deal! Not.
43 JJMNGR: Nothing to do with A346....big, big, big plane....I can´t tell...but imagin a big,big,big one...queen of the skies...
44 LH506: Do we talk about the new king of the skies or the old queen of the skies??
45 JJMNGR: Ahhaaaaa!!! If I go straight you get the point....I can´t be so straight but it is being under study....04 big frames...it is a study only (dep one)
46 LH506: Thanks. That kind of also answers the question of the other floating rumour
47 Donzilasse: Richard, I understand that you can not let us know about this however, sound like JJ is considering something that can move a lot of people from possi
48 C010T3: Well, since JJ has ordered 77W, it would be dumb to order the 748i. They could order more 77W. It would be as simple as that. JJMNGR must be talking a

52 Donzilasse: Richard, Do you know if TAM hires any foreigners. My son is currently working as a server in a reataurant here in Florida. He speaks fluently English,

54 Threepoint: I would counter that if they routed through JNB or CPT, it would be a very simple and inexpensive option to swap any flight crews on an SAA flight to
