Is there a Skybus pilot message board, or a Skybus pilot on here? I am looking to sell something in the Columbus area and was thinking all the new pilots going to Skybus in CMH might be looking for a nice place to live.

Well, at the wages they are making, I don't expect many of them will be able to afford a nice place to live.

Since when could people making $60,000 not afford a decent place to live and an internet connection....especially if they had a spouse that worked as well? I only make $36k, and I live a fairly decent life....if I was making $60k it'd be Miller time baby!

Quoting Itsnotfinals (Reply 7): 1st year captain is 65K , upgrade to Captain is running 8 months. There won't be many 1st year pay F/O's much longer.
No one seems to communicate that first year pay at every airline is typically lower than 2nd year and beyond.
Well, obviously pay goes up over time, but a >100% jump after an average of 8 months is WOW. Still not a ton of money, but I'd love to get a raise like that!

Hi,
I worked for them briefly, and barely any of the pilots are from Columbus, maybe two or three, so none of them are looking to buy. They all lease their places and live with a handful of other pilots in these crash pads around the city.
