Hello All!!
By now we all know that the A380 is making an apperance in MSP on 11/27. I'll be there along with a few others, but would like to know if any other A-netters are planning on attending. Let's all welcome the beast!!

This will be my first time spotting at MSP, so we'll have to find a good location. I've been through the airport hundreds of times, but have never spotted before. I've heard about a dog park nearby or a cell phone lot that was talked about on the first thread. I'm up for anything.

I'll be there, there is a hill just atop the cemetary there. I fly in and will be out there about the time it takes off for its two hour showboat flight.

I'm in.

Anyone have a suggestions on predicting the runway using a flighttrackker? I can get internet access about five minutes from the airport. I have a VHF reciever, too- is there a single channel that would where I can hear the runway instructions far enough out to choose a spot?

I intend on going the night of the 26th when it arrives with a fellow A.Netter that I'm friends with in real life.

I'm thinking the Lindbergh parking garage at first, because from there you can get a good view of most of the airport, then taking the LRT to the Humphrey Parking Garage if it parks there, like I've heard it will. Or driving to whatever good spotting point for where it ends up being.

I am the friend of "Aviationwiz that is also going the night of the 26th. There is a website for those interested in spotting locations. It is:

MSP.html" target=_blank>http://www.aircraftspotting.net/airports/MSP.html

Have fun to anyone who goes out to see the beast. Finally, something positive at MSP (instead of stuff like Larry Craig!).

For some reason the link is not working as it is typed. The address is www.aircraftspotting.net. I was on the website last night and it has some very useful information on spotting locations...

I think we should make a list of who is coming and and agree on a place where we could all meet.

I am in as well! I agree that there should be a common meeting place and then we all figure it out from there.

I think the easiest place to meet would be on post road an we can figure out the best spotting location from there.

At the SA or in the lot?

i would say at the lot because the SA is always busy with other people and taxi drivers.
