Has anyone been on AA's new 767's serving the AAloha State? I'm curious whether or not their First Class seats include foot rests or not. Also, how spacious can the First Class cabin be with 30 seats in a 2-2-2 config. Please advise. Mahalo!

Aloha!
Yes, I have been on the 767s that are serving Hawaii. The first class cabin is spacious, but certainly not as spacious as the 3 class 767, MD-11, or 777. It is certainly very comfortable, plenty of legroom to stretch out in, and the 2-2-2 configuration works out fine since the cabin is stretched into what would be business class on a 3-class version. The seats they have are the older, traditional tan colored leather seats - although I prefer those to the newer navy blue seats. I imagine they will be putting in the new first class seats (blue ones) soon since the rest of the cabin had the newer blue coach seats w/ leg rests... oh, and by the way, the coach cabin had been reconfigured to have "more room throughout coach" -- so it was VERY comfortable. The 1st class seats, however, even though they are the "older" model, looked brand-new. I'm guessing that the "seat shop" up in Tulsa at the maintenance base had recovered and gave them a good cleaning. The cabin looked VERY sharp and clean. I actually like it better than the DC-10. I think the 767 looks much more modern and "up to date"

Oh, and no - this 767 did not have legrests in first class.

Thanks for the info AA@DFW. I'm a bit confused though. The coach seats have leg rests, but First Doesn't? And why the old tan seats, and not the new blue ones in First?
