Interesting. All other aircraft meant to swap between systems have been in basic white/blue colorschemes or various states of their former codeshares liveries. And the USExpress and Frontier aircraft don't have many opportunities to be swapped out like at Chautauqua or Shuttle America. Nice livery, either way.

Strange livery. I was hoping for Howard the Duck on the tail when I saw the thread topic, but instead it looks a bit like Team Lufthansa.

I really like their livery. Plain and simple. Is this one of those planes that can be swapped between UA and DL operations? Registration seems to indicate ex-US.

Its on the Republic Airlines certificate - so it would, if its being used as a "spare", swap between F9 and US.

Its also interesting that it says "Republic Airways" on the fuselage. Thats the holdings company. The airline is "Republic AirLINES"

That jet operated the F9 Express rotation into BOI today in about 10:40am, left 11:20 or so. A bit behind sched. I also thought it interesting that it had Republic scheme. Caught one pic before had to work own flights.

That livery kind of looks like Aeromexico's. Boy do I miss the shiny livery.

A retro livery would be cool and would also go well with the US Airways retro liveries.

A retro livery would actually be cool, but why would US want an airplane flying around in in the retro colors of a competitor's predecessor? Not to mention, the extant Republic Airlines has never held any association with the Republic of yesteryear: They are the same in name only.

I agree with you 150%. I had to look at it twice to make sure it wasn't AM Connect as they are receiving their first E90s.

Hey Lindy, actually the old North Central/Republic Duck's name was "Herman"... Smile

Second the tail design looks like a European Union Flag.....

Thirdly, The paint scheme sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks to much like every other Euro white cloned colour scheme out there....If I could, I'd puke right now!!!!

The plane is a spare. From what I understand, US pulled back a slight amount of Republic's flying, so that plane will stand in on US and F9 flights when needed and possibly run some charter flights.

Because the flying public has no idea or even cares. Also Republic could give honor to it's namesake.

We had that discussion on another forum, and could find no answer. It is strange isn't it?

IMHO opinion the livery is bland and boring, but I'm still happy to see a Republic jet in its own colors.

Isn't there a livery for Comair as well? That RP livery looks interesting...
