Does KLM have just GE engines on their 300F's? Or do they have any JT8D's left?
thanks

Looks like all the -300's and -200SUD's have CF6-50E2.

Indeed, the first 7 KLM Jumbos were P&W-powered. The later -200s converted to -300 (or -206 SUD) were all GE-powered, including the first two of the batch, PH-BUH and PH-BUI, which were converted to freighters.

KLM was the first airline to break the PW monopoly on the 747 when they ordered the GE CF6 powered variant of the 747-200.
Now all its Jumbos, including the -200SUD/SF are GE powered.

By the way, AA61hvy, the PW engine available on the Classic variants of the 747 is the JT9D, not the JT8D.
I think a 747 could barely move from the apron with the thrust of 4 JT8Ds.

Ciao

Stefano
