Startup carrier Air Peru International (API) would take off as soon as its operating license and other paperwork is completed, probably in December, CEO Guillermo de la Torre said at a news conference this week in Lima.

The airline will serve two domestic destinations, Cusco and Iquitos, with a Boeing 757-200. Long-term plans include flying to the U.S., and Latin America. Initial equity capital has been supplied by private Peruvian investors.

I like the way their logo on the website is the one from the Primaris aircraft!

While the 757 is overkill for the domestic flying, an early priority will be getting a Miami route up and running ASAP.

Apparently plans call for 6-7 aircraft within a couple years. Let see what happens.

Good luck to them. So it seems they might start a Miami route sooner than Aerocondor.

Don't like the paintscheme much on that Primaris plane but hey it finally got some titles. Will be good to see a Peruvian airline at Miami again.
