Tiger Airways - Australia - is set to get it's approval from the Australian authorities after 4 proving flights - 2 x roundtrip:

Lynx, on the other hand, will make a total of 34 proving flights - 17 x round trip - of which eight (4 x round trip) were completed this week.

It's an odd disparity in number. Is it just the difference in national regulations, or is to do with the aircraft - jet v. prop?

TIA

I seem to recall when US was introducing the EMB-170 into their fleet, they needed something on the order of a few dozen proving runs, about what you say Lynx will need. And that was just adding a new type onto an existing certificate.

I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.
