News On The Pending LH 787/350 Decision?

Does anybody have any new insight about the LH 787/350 decision?
Afaik this was going to be announced by year end. Since LH normally announces after supervisory board approval, does anybody know if/when the last meetings for this year are scheduled?
Also any rumours out what LH is leaning towards?? Before the XWB it was said that the 787 was the front-runner, but afterwards Buchholz stated that the 788 and 783 are out, which leaves only the 789 and an undefined 7810 from B.
Will the Swiss 343s also be replaced?
I would guess initial order for 40 a/c to replace 28 A343s at LH and 12 A343s at LX.

I highly doubt you will ever see a 787 in DLH or AFA's liviries. No insight here but I think it is obvious which side of the fence both of these carriers will side on.

they could be one of the customers interested in the 787-10 to replace the aa343s and give some growing room and A350s maybe but they have the 748 to replace the 744s so they could use A350-1000 to replace A340-600

As for LX, the A350 is an obvious next move but, with a still young fleet of A343s and brand new A333s on order, I don't see any urgency in placing an order.

This I could see being one of Boeing's main selling point. Plus, with the 748, would LH need an aircraft the size of the A350-1000 or 777-300ER, or would the seating gap between the 748 and the 787-10/A-350-900 be acceptable?

I don't believe that's a major factor for LH. They could have had CF6s on their A333s but didn't. Anyway, they have a joint op. with RR. That points to an RR order on any 787s just as much as their order for 748s points to GE.

AF has one of the largest 777 fleet and the A350 comes with RR engines only so the A350 for AF is not a given.
LH has the 747-8I on order and is one of the airlines that has pushed Boeing to develop the 787-10, they have not placed an order for the A350 yet although many other airlines did but they placed follow-on orders for A32xs, A330s and A340-600s so why no A350s if they would order it anyway ??? The 787 still has high chances to be selected by LH.

LH always was a loyal Boeing customer and has a large 737/747 fleet, they are the launch customer for the 747-8I so why should anything be obvious ??
