I noticed that Delta is operating an extra 737 between LAX and SFO and an extra 757 between LAX and SEA tonight. Are these extra sections for the post-Thanksgiving rush? Are they operating any extra sections besides these routes?

I just few into Atlanta today from SLC. Our captain had expected a slow down into Atlanta because of the weather, but we were brought right in, arriving only 10 min late to the gate. Our 764 was full, full, full! SLC airport this morning was actually very calm. I had expected it to be very busy, and I think everyone else had too. Many arrived at the airport very early, and I can't believe I'm saying this but the TSA did a great job this holiday season... I flew Sunday the 18th, Wednesday the 20th, and monday the 26th and in every case they seemed to have extra people working and every lane open with many people helping passengers be ready for the screening.

There was an extra section added ATL-DAB-ATL with a CRJ-200, on last Wednesday and this Monday. The one on Wednesday was useless as there was enough seats that everyone from the -200 could have fit on the previous CRJ-700 which came in just an hour eariler.

ATL was a madhouse last night. Delays everywhere...my 1030p departed at 1240a, still beat out the 830p departure which left at 1250a. Crown Rooms were staying open past midnight to accommodate members, which I thought was a very generous touch.
Last Tuesday I know extra flights were operated. They added a midday MD-88 to GSO, a few extra MD-88s to OKC, 757s to TPA and JAX, an extra MD-88 to PVD, a 767-300 to MIA, etc.
