Oasis Hong Kong IFE

Just a quick question...

Oasis Hong Kong's first two aircraft came from Singapore Airlines, and they kept the same seats and IFE.

The "new" aircraft are coming from ANA, which, I didn't believe had PTVs etc on its 744s...

Is Oasis HK planning to fit PTVs etc into these 744s, or will they too operate with the former airline's seats?

Incorrect, the ANA 744 is config in 3 class and hv PTV throughout. I'm just wondering will they start selling F or are they going to take down F and convert it into J.



Hong Kong is not China. Not better or worse, just different.

For starters, fitting aircraft with PTVs costs money, and since O8 is an LCC, I doubt it would make sense for them to install PTVs in their aircraft, especially PTVs with AVOD. If they install PTVs on aircraft that don't have them, it will probably just be a simple IFE, that's it.

Actually the 4th aircraft arrived from Guangzhou where it was painted and has gone straight inside of HAECO to have it's ANA seats removed, and second hand but refurbished ex-SQ seats installed, like B-LFA and B-LFB. When B-LFD enters service in December, A, B, and C will enter the hangar for checks and when LFC does, it will also have it's ANA seats taken out and be refurbished into a 2 class plane.

Incorrect. All Oasis planes have PTVs at every seat, and new ones will as well. Since when do LCCs not use TVs? Do Frontier, jetBlue, and Westjet not have PTVs at every seat?

The PTVs, IIRC, are not on-demand, however.

I have heard OHK is doing well with high load factor.
Probably they will be candidate for a new VLA , of course 748I or A380.
