Is it just me, but every time BA is mentioned either in a "Trip Report" or in any other circumstance they get rave reviews! Are they the best overall airline in the world? And have they picked up there service, seats and aircraft since the early 90's when they certanly wern't all that! I'd like to hear your views on this subject as i'm a converted BA fan after flying with them to HKG and back over the Christmas period. Their NEW World Traveller is amazing, although maybe the seats could use a few extra inches in width. Please let me know what you think of Bristish Airways.

Overall, they're a damn good airline-in terms of reliablility, and comfort in the premium cabins.

The service can certainly fluctuate, although they do their best to recruit cabin crew from different parts of the world; unfortunately there will always be some rude ones, but this is normal British service

I am certain they are up there with the top carriers; we have flown them long-haul many times, and as I have said above, you can depend on BA getting you there safely, and on time.

Yes, they are the best! It's hard to say what makes them so good, but I think it's the whole package. They even do they their best to have satisfied economy class travellers. On a recent flight fom LHR to BOS the departure was delayed for several hours (not their fault since one of the crew got sick and they had to get a replacement), they just recently sent me a letter of apology together with a note that they credited my FF acount with an extra 5000 miles. And I did not even complain in the first place. I recommend them very highly!

People who post on this forum are enthusiasts and choose their flight based on their preference for an airline (assuming that fare is similar). It's not surprising to see BA fans rave about BA after they take a flight- it's like a fanclub. You'll find similarly strong sentiments towards SQ- if not more so than BA.

I ain't a fan of BA but I would say their service is superior to anyone elses (even SQ and VS). This is based on me having flown them quite a lot and also flown SQ and VS. It's just a pity they only care about London and not the rest of Britain.
