This spring I'll be flying from...
MSP-SLC
SLC-JFK
JFK-LAX
LAX-MSP

My options are:

MSP-SLC-
Delta 733
Northwest 72S
Delta 72S
(Leaning towards Northwest 727)

SLC-JFK
Delta 763
Delta 757
JetBlue 320
(Leaning towards JetBlue 320)

JFK-LAX
Delta 763
AA 763
National 757
AmWest 320
AA 762
Qantas 744
(Leaning towards Qantas 744)

LAX-MSP
Northwest DC10
Northwest 757
Northwest 320
SunCountry 727
United 733
(Leaning towards NWdc-10)

Which do you think is the best for each one? For me, it doesnt really matter what airline, but all comments are welcome!
Thanks A LOT in advance.

Unless something has changed that I have not heard, you cannot fly as a revenue passenger on a foreign carrier between two US destinations. Of course, if you are a nonrev, all bets are off and this would be a great idea. I have a friend who often has business at LAX and can nonrev on the KAL 744 flight from DFW. He loves it because it is always nearly empty and the cocktails are free and easily obtainable from a flight crew that has yet to be beaten down by a long trans-Pacific flight.

Take the NW planes as those types will be gone within the next couple of years so your chances to fly them are getting smaller and smaller.

WN boy is right, Qantas can not carry you on the JFK-LAX sector as a revenue passenger unless you hold a ticket onwards to Australia or New Zealand  Sad

I don't know about the other legs, but I would definitely fly jetBlue. They are excellent.

Stay off the NWA DC-10!!! Haha, sorry. My last flight with them was a nightmare from SFO-MSP. On take off the overhead bin above my head opened and I was smashed in the head with a bag. Not a pretty sight. There were many more, significantly more serious problems with the flight that didn't have to do with the aircraft but I wont bore you with those, but still avoid that DC10.

If you cannot get on Qantas, take National (first class if you can). I was really impressed with them. From MSP-SLC, take the NW 727, from SLC-JFK take Jet Blue, and from LAX-MSP, the NW DC-10 all the way. Just for info, I took a CO DC-10 flight from IAH-LAX and it was great, so just a push for DC-10 service right here.
