With the new bilateral treaty with Ireland and with US-EU open skies, airlines no longer need to have one SNN flight for each DUB flight. I think they are now required to have one SNN flight for every three DUB flights. DL will keep JFK-SNN, but not ATL-SNN. They fly to DUB from ATL and JFK.

Could you explain how you know this? In November's Airline Business it says that Delta will operate 757s to Shannon from Atlanta in the summer. It will not operate this winter. But I admit, they could have changed their mind.

Simple. It isn't bookable. They might change their minds, but as of now, it's gone.

Ok well it hasn't officially been discontinued then, you just inferred that, right?
I consider it to be officially discontinued. They would have uploaded it if they planned on operating it, especially given that it's a holiday route. It's not there, it's gone. Airlines don't like to "officially" discontinue routes because it's bad press. They only typically announce when they are ending entire stations, and since Delta will still serve Shannon from JFK, there is no need to make a public announcement. So we likely will never get "official" word from Delta.
