ATA's callsign is "Amtran"

I believe Ryanair's callsign is Ryanair.

ATA - an honestly different airline.

Anyone heard Skybus (USA) on the air yet? Wondering what their callsign is...

Also you left out ExpressJet (XE) from the USA...IIRC, the call sign is "jetlink"

Methinks he mixed up AA and MQ...isn't MQ's callsign "Eagle Flight?"

Thats a quite outdated list there, Cumulus.

Many airlines on that list aren't in operation or have changed callsigns.

Try "Southwest Airlines Southwest United States" Wink

He is just a bit out of date:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Transocean_Air

quote:
The airline was established on 20 June 1967 as Southwest Air Lines (南西航空, Nansei Kōkū?), and started operations in July 1967. It changed its name in July 1993.

It is an okay company. There are some issues but all and all it is an airline. I am eyeballing fractionals or getting out of aviation all together. Now back on topic. You got it correct. Are you aspireing?

I know I will get flamed for this, but yes, I am hoping to get on with someone. I am finishing up school in Florida and then would like to go back home on Long Island so I was looking at companies with pilot bases up there. It seems like Comair (JFK), Piedmont (LGA), or Colgan (LGA). Im sure there are at least one or two that I am missing. Eventually, my dream is to fly for NetJets but Im playing everything by ear for now and taking time as I can get it.

Airtours International Kestrel UK

The Callsign Kestrel is still in use, but by Airtours successor VZ. However, as VZ is merging with MT and both airline's operations being consolidated into the Thomas Cook brand, is it possible that MT will not use the Kestrel callsign but stick with Top Jet? Kestrel definitely sounds better than Top Jet IMO.

By the way, hasn't the call sign thing been beaten up a bit? I recall starting a thread bout it about 6 months ago and was chastised for it.

It's 737s, 747s and 380s. Not 737's, 747's and 380's. Learn to use the apostrophe for crying out loud.
