Evening all

My mum just gave me a call and sent me the following link:

http://radar.zhaw.ch/radar.html

It's real-time live ATC radar from ZRH and its surroundings (must be ZRH area control), you can see ZRH in- and outbound traffic aswell as overflying traffic. Currently there's not a lot going on, as it's close to midnight here, but it'll get busier again tomorrow! If you click on one of the planes, you'll get some more information (airline, speed, altitude, and in some cases, aircraft type, reg# etc)

Hope you guys enjoy it, I think it's brilliant.

Cheers
Sandro

PS: yes, I know i have a cool mum

That is really cool! You can even scroll the map by holding the left mouse button down, not sure yet how far a radius it covers but following LH576 into Italian airspace at the moment. Some flights has details of aircraft type and registration.
Added to my favourites.

Edit:The flight above disappeared between Lugano & Milan. So I guess it covers Switzerland.

Yup it covers Switzerland, some parts of Western France and Southern Germany. Pretty much ZRH area control's assigned airspace.

Pitty theres no coverage for the UK. I could sit for days then tracking flights over my house and looking up the flight details.

But for now I will happily sit for days now tracking flights over Sandro's house! Good find Sandro!

I think you mean eastern France. And GVA (not ZRH) controls air traffic over western Switzerland and neighbouring parts of France.

You're right. What I meant is that it covers all of Swiss ATC controlled airspace.

There was an IB A319 (MAD-DME), a Smart Wings 738 (PRG-TFS),a Mytravel A321 (Banjul-HEL), an OA 734 (MAN-ATH) and an LY 762 (TLV-CDG just a few minutes ago Big grin

earlier there were some AF longhaul flights (77W, A332) some LH 747s and LX A343s around, plus some shorthaul fligths and lots of Cargo flights (mainly DHL)

I spotted the same flights but I can't recall seeing the origin and destination when clicking on the aircraft symbol, or did I overlook that info?

Thanks Sandro - very useful site.

There's a couple of BCS flights on the map currently, am I right in thinking that they are European Air Transport? I tried Googling one of the flight numbers (BCS7271) but just got some removed timetables and a link to girls gothic costumes?  confused

Thanks

Yup. They fly a bunch of 757Fs and A300Fs for DHL. They seem to maintain extensive night operations as their flights are present throughout the night.

Thanks Sandro for posting. I actually found this link two days ago because of a report in a free newspaper (don't remember 20min, Heute or .CH). I wanted to post it but then it loaded so slowly and did not work well I resigned to post. Then I forgot and am glad that you brought it.

Just saw LTC 456 pop up (anyone know who it belongs too/any info on this flight), and interestingly their is a small aircraft shadow on the map below the plane symbol.

Too cool, thanks again SandroZRH!  Smile
