"A small, single engine plane made an emergency belly landing Thursday after its landing gear would not descend.

The plane, a Cessna 172, had only one wheel descended as it touched down at the Morristown, N.J., airport.

Chopper 4 shot video of the landing, showing the plane's wheel snapping off when it hit the runway. The plane then glided onto its belly, sparks flying behind it until it slid to a stop. It had circled the airport trying to burn off its fuel reserves before attempting the landing. "

Actually very well reported. The reporter had a pretty good clue of what was going on unlike some aviation story's covered by them.

Viva la Vida
