on the Croatia Airlines press conference it was announced that Croatia Airlines will recieve six additional aircraft in 2003.-2005. period,
although no details were given on TV it must be conversion of six options on A320 family acft converted into firm orders
I do not have any details yet which aircrafts of that family will it be but as soon as I find out I will post it
it would be nice to see A321 and A318 in Croatia Airlines colours

Any chance of a long haul aircraft, maybe an A330-200. JAT used to operate from ZAG to NYC many years ago and I'm sure there's quite a strong Croatian population in the US/Canada.

Thats great that they are ordering 6 new airplanes, but why are they taking these deliveries in 2003-2005, why not get some new airbuses this year or start taking deliveries next year in 2002? What they need in this order is a widebody airplane, like an A330-200 such as kaitak said. There is a strong croatian community in the New York, New Jersey area.

I checked newspapers and there was nothing about this order, although there was report from that meeting
either TV journalist misundertood word options to buy, or newspaper guys ignored that news
actually I do not really trust journalist when they talk about aviation
for example. - in same issue as I lookde for order info there was a report
on the An-24 and Tu-16 collision in which one woman survived falling down
ther was a picture of An-22 with caption ANtonov passenger plane (at least thhey got the Antonov right)
and another thing about croatian aviation
Air Adriatic
two versions of that airline
#1 charter with 2xMD-82 based in Pula (based on local newspapers)
#2 scheduled pax with 2xDo-328 Jets in Zagreb (based on Fairchld- Dornier press release)
when I told them (jounalist) to investigate that story they did nothing
