All

On another thread someone posted the telephone number to listen to Manchester (MAN) ATIS information.

Is there somewhere that these numbers are published? I travel to LBA, MAN and LPL spotting and would like to know ATIS info before I set off.

Thanks

For the U.S., see http://www.airnav.com/.

You can find numbers for the ATIS and ASOS/AWOS at US airports on www.airnav.com

Sometimes they'll have a number for the ATIS, sometimes just the ASOS/AWOS.

You can find it in the Aeronautical Information Package (AIP) at www.ais.org.uk (you will need a log in). Go to the AIP section, select the UK IAIP > Aerodrome Index (Specific) and select the airport you are interested in. Select the top option, textual data. It will open a .pdf file, which contains all the airport information including frequencies. It will also display an ATIS telephone number if available.

Of the 4 aiports you listed, only MAN and BHX have a telephone number. BHX 0121-780 0910

Alternatively, if you just want the weather, you can sign up for the met office's free aviation weather service, which will give you access to a global METAR/TAF search.

In addition, you could try 1 (800) ANY-AWOS, though I believe a toll may apply. Thus the AF/D or Airnav.com should work fine.

Is there an ATIS number for YYZ (Toronto, Pearson International)??

There is no ATIS telephone number for CYYZ. I checked in the CFS (Canadian Flight Supplement), and if there was one it would have been in there.

us Air Traffic Controllers have a good record, we haven't left one up there yet !!

If anyone cares, ORD's ATIS is 773-601-8921. I call it just before I leave my house for the drive into work. It lets me know what configuration the Tower is on so I'll be mentally prepared for battle.

I will have a Manhattan.
