Whats The Update On This Qatar A310

Uptil a few months back it wasnt clear wether it was flying for Amiri division or going to do commercial flights.

Thanks for the update, I wonder why they gave the first one to Pakistan govt. maybe they expected some generous return favour like more traffic rights or slots or even a stake in PIA as was rumored around that time, I wonder what they got.

Yes, it came from EK and was supposed to enter QR mainline fleet but it is now with the Amiri Department. Normally Amiri A/C are registered with A7-HHx but this one is A7-AFE which fell directly into the A300 regs.  Smile

That's not necessarily true. Don't forget Amiri Flight operates for both the royal family and the Qatar government. Granted there is a an overlap there but actually not that many off the Amiri flight birds follow the A7-HH* naming convention.

Which is ( not always) the same thing. The Emir, His son and the Foreign Minister have their own metal afaik. But this particular A310 was supposed to fly in the QR fleet.  Smile
