This is one of those really easy things that I bet five million of us on here could find the answer to but are too lazy... NEwayz... here ya' go:
If you go to www.boeing.com and go to the Commercial Planes section and go to the right side you'll see a thing that says Orders & Deliveries - in there you can find anything you want in the Custom Reports section. Through that, according to Boeing, here's some stuff about 747s on order:
614 total, Air New Zealand was the launch customer back in 1984, and Northwest was the US Launch Customer the next year. On July 6th, 1990, British Airways placed the largest single order for 23 planes. The last order was placed by Qantas on Dec. 19th, 2000 for 6 747-400ERs (currently called the 747-400X).
