Batavia Air orders 16 Q400, Adam Air orders 25 CRJ900...
... at least according to this article:
Quote: Indonesian air carriers havesealed orders for 129 new planes of various types worth 5 billionU.S. dollars this year, with Boeing 737 series sharing the bulk.
Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia topped the list with 50 B373-800NGs, followed by budget carrier Lion Air that bought 22 B737-900ERs. Lion has in the previous years signed purchase deals of100 B737-900ERs.
Bhakti Investama also signed a deal for 16 B737-800s, whileAdam Air bought 25 Bombardier CRJ900s and Batavia Air purchased 16Q-400 Dash propeller planes, leading economic daily BisnisIndonesia reported Monday.

25 x CRJ900... fantastic news if it is true. Adam Air has mostly A320 and B737 don't they? But if they can only fill 80 seats on many routes, then buying smaller aircraft makes sense.

AdamAir has no A320..!! Currently they are flying B732/733/734/735.. aka.. the classic 737s..!! They always said they have A320 on order... but I believe only God knows the status of their order..!!
Not 100% sure... but I remembered reading some Indonesian newspaper... Batavia has launched a lawsuit against ATRs because they are claiming the plane the got is not the same with what ATR was advertising.. or something along that line..!! So since their relationship with ATR can't be good now... I guess it is quite reasonable from them to switch to ATR's direct competitor... Bombardier..!!
Regarding the orders... is it even official..?? There is no mention of this sale in Bombardier's website..!! And for those that have followed Indonesian aviation... they will all know that most Indonesian airlines like to bs..!! They always talk about their plan.. talk about ordering new plane.. but almost none of them actually materialized..!! The exception case will be Lion Air's B737-900ER order.. and Batavia's A319/320s..!! However... it will be very interesting if these order actually go through... AdamAir will become the first CRJ operators in Indonesia.. no.. maybe Southeast Asia.. and the same could be said for Batavia's Q400 too..!!

Also... forget to mention this..
Indonesian newspaper Bisnis has also reported that Sriwijaya Airline has placed order for 15 ATR42/72 with delivery starting in 2008..!! Sriwijaya have signed the contract for 3 aircrafts while the remaining 12 is letter of intent..!! However... I am not sure whether the 3 aircrafts are ATR42 or 72..!!
