I'm talking about the airline that folded when Saigon fell in 1975. Great logo and variety of aircrafts!

1. I need data, memories, anything that you remember about the airline.

2. Your brief trip reports, flying experiences with Air Vietnam.

3. Anybody knows where Air Vietnam Caravelle jet and B707 flew-----routes, schedules appreciated

4. Anybody knows which VN aircrafts flew out/escape routes from Saigon before the 1975 fall?

5. Anybody knows all the refugee flights made by Air Vietnam?

6. website addresses of any Air Vietnam data-----------example: www.air-america.net/airviet.htm

Thanks for all the info.

Amazing that they still flew mid of 1974 from SGN to VTE! Their entire schedule can be found on the website provided by you: http://www.air-america.net/images/Airrvn/air-viet-schede-1974.jpg

No caption for the above photo but it appears to be Tokyo Haneda (HND).

Some early Air Vietnam timetables. The April 1, 1963 timetable has a link to the contents.

Would love to get some other items but you don't see them around often.

You might want to peek at the fourth foto under my user profile...

..I'd just started taking photos as a kid - horrible photographer then.. and not so great many years later.

I do have one or two Air Vietnam/Hang Khong Vietnam 707 photos..but they are black & white because I was attempting to learn how to develop my own photos. Those toxic fumes put an end to that. I do believe only one 707 rec'd the full paint job, I never saw that one but I think I did see a photo somewhere. The only one I ever (and kept seeing was the white one with only VN titles and a Vietnam registration. The 707s (two I believe) were ex-Pan Am ships.

I think there were 3 727s in the fleet.

But the original VN was a cool lookin' airline to see flying around.

It was Air Siam, MSA and Air Vietnam that got me hooked into this vortex of nuttiness!
