I knew this route would come back someday, but I certainly didn't expect EVA to be the carrier to do it. Good for Osaka

LAX-KIX is long over due. Weve been without it for too long. Wonder if AA will codeshare on it like they do to TPE? The fact that AA used to fly to KIX means they are/were at least somewhat interested in the market, just not interested enough to fly it themselves since they discontinued it.

It is what it is...

Any idea if this will replace one of the 3x daily (more or less) TPE - LAX flights on BR, or will it be a new route? (And what metal will be flying it?)

777-300ER (as said in the link)

Also TPE-CTS will go to a 777-300ER up from an A330-200 which will be moved to start TPE-Komatsu and TPE-Miyazaki (2x weekly each).

Yes...I am not a KIX fan. Let's Japanese Aviation!

Glad to hear this finally announced. Ive been hearing rumours of TPE-KIX-LAX for some months now.

EVA Air now operates the following routes into the US:

and now..

I would perhaps like to see ORD/IAH in the future provided from TPE with BR.

Will be interesting if VN will still go for SGN-KIX-LAX still.

I'm going to miss those 744s greatly, I'm so used to those jumbo jets in the last 15 years since BR started TPE-LAX. Last I heard TPE-SFO will be switched to 773 by April 2008. Nonetheless, with rising oil prices, I support the airline's move toward more fuel efficient aircrafts (773 only uses two thirds of fuel than 744 on trans-Pacific sectors)
