OORamper : Oh i've been on here quite a while. Decided to change my name since I moved. Used to be pdxcof9. I was just about to give up on google earth. Was goi
Surfpunk : Could be, but I don't think so. The top of the tail seems to have a reddish tinge to it (although it is hard to tell with the wonderful resolution Go
XJET : I'm going DL MD90. Could be an 88, but I got a feeling its a 90.
B747forever : It is either a CO ERJ-145 or a DL MD90/88, it cant be a NW DC-9
Airbusaddict : Its a NW DC-9-50. IT has a red tail and the looks of an NW DC9 i guess lol.
B747forever : But it is to white

B747forever : That is a 727, can it be Trans Caribbean Airways???
N766UA : That looks like a 1997 colored DAL 727 to me. You can see the blue tail and the cheatline around the nose.

Cytz_pilot : Would that be a Brussels Airlines 737?

Arcano : Indeed, it's SCL - SCEL Santiago de Chile

B747forever : Are you sure, cant see the blue engines.[Edited 2007-12-22 02:29:26]
FLLspoter : Its either a Skyeurope 737 or a TUIfly 737. Joe
B747forever : No, it is not a TUIfly 737, because they dont serve ZRH, and that blue is to dark.
Albird87 : Is it not KLM?? It looks like their blue colours.
EDICHC : Too dark for KLM, I think BMI
Post contains links and images AF340 : You got 2 out of 3! Nobody got the B752 which was SunExpress. What airport is this?
Coronado990 : Looks like BUF. Buffalo, NY
AA787 : Definitely BUF, especially with the New York GIS markings at the bottom of the screen! AA787
Post contains links and images AF340 : That would help NEXT: AF340
AA787 : I have no idea... maybe a hint?
Post contains images AF340 : Not in North or South America AF340
Steeler83 : Gee, that narrows it down a bit... Here's my shot in the dark with Exeter...
Post contains images AF340 : OK, it's in Africa... AF340
Coronado990 : Morocco somewhere. At first I was going to say RAK, but I'm going with RBA (Rabat).
AA787 : I got nothing... I am thinking that it is in South Africa though.
Powercube : Looking at the amazingly huge runway, I'm going to say it is UTN (Upington Airport, South Africa).
SoBe : Yup, GMME
Post contains links and images AF340 : Yup it's RBA How about this airline at CTA? AF340
FLLspoter : i think its an easyjet A319, or an Windjet A320 Joe[Edited 2007-12-22 17:21:35]
Steeler83 : Aw man! I need to get out more!!
B747forever : Is it EZY

EXTspotter : Is that where Mr Travolta lives?
Post contains images AF340 : He wishes! Here's a clue (this totally narrows it down ): It's in Europe AF340
FLLspoter : I knew that because of the Digital Globe logo on the bottom of the screen. Otherwise i have searched for 2 hours and i have nothing yet. Joe
Post contains images AF340 : It's in Sweden. AF340
BlueShamu330s : It's Tullinge in Sweden, south of Stockholm. Shamu
OORamper : How did I miss that!?!?!? It looked like an airport in northern Europe. I totally looked around Stockholm too!! I looked at BMA, Bromma and skipped ov
B747forever : BMA just have one runway and is bigger in area. Great job BlueShamu
Post contains links and images AF340 : How did you get that?!?!?!? But good job anyway! What about this airline at MCO? AF340
B747forever : DL???
FLLspoter : Its not DL because you can see the red stripe just behind L1 and that indicates that it is a BA 772. At first i thought it was a DL 757. Joe
Post contains links and images AF340 : Actually... What about this airport? AF340
SandroZRH : Sorry to bump this one again, but it's a KL 737. BMI never served ZRH until they launched EDI with E145s not too long ago. You can see that the quali

CptGirmayTesfa : What's the bird next to it? I can't recall a 4-engine ac in ADD...
Surfpunk : Looks like a 707.
Post contains links and images AF340 : JNB: Liam
EXTspotter : Is it a 767? Looks a bit like Ethiopian also, but is the nose blue? Its either a Ethiopian 763, China Southern 763 or Kenyan 763.
Af773atmsp : Kind of looks like an AF 777.
Post contains links and images AF340 : It was that ( ) one. How about the one in the middle here at ISB: Liam
OORamper : Saudi Arabian MD-11? I have no freakin clue. It's way too blurry.
B747forever : Have to be that, and the a/c beside is also a Saudi Arabian a/c.
Post contains links and images Airfoilsguy : Here is an easy one. What and where?
B747forever : Boeing747SP. Where?????????
Airfoilsguy : Who owns it?
Airfoilsguy : Think TV religion. Then think tires
PanHAM : CAK Aktron / Canton in Ohio
Post contains images AF340 : Is it a Star Triple Seven B747SP @ MQY? Before I post another photo, let's see what Airfoilsguy's answer was. Liam
Post contains links and images Airfoilsguy : Yup but its at Akron/Canton where it lives for most of the time. Except when the president comes to town it is the largest aircraft there. View Large
Post contains links and images AF340 : I should of looked at your profile sooner, seeing that you're from Ohio What airport is this? Liam
Albird87 : That would be SJU and very clever way to spin the map around as i thought it was SJU but wasnt sure as the water is on the north side of the airport.
EXTspotter : You only need to look at the compass and you can tell it is wierdly orientated.
Post contains links and images AF340 : I was trying to make it look like LIH, but you got that very fast! How about this one at ANC? Liam
EXTspotter : Cargo 360? ? ? ?
CF105Arrow : I wasn't familiar with Cargo 360 until I read your posting, but looking at the Cargo 360 pix on their website, their livery looks quite different.
EXTspotter : One two go - orient thai then?
Albird87 : Is that the Northwest Cargo name?? It looks like that it has a KLM and NW logo on it.
FLLspoter : I dont think so but i belive it is a NWC 742. Joe
OORamper : Wow I actually got that!!! Amazing. I was looking at fedex's DC-10s and the engines look like they are closer to the fuselage than on the MD-11s. And
Post contains links and images AF340 : Yes, No, and Yes CGH: Liam  [Edited 2007-12-28 19:19:03]
Albird87 : 737 definately judging by the size of the other aircraft around her. would it be a VASP aircraft?? cant be TAM or maybe varig..... OR Gol?
EXTspotter : I don't think it is a 737 as 737s are shorter compared to their width. With the F100s? in the picture I think it may be an E190 or E195.
CXfirst : I agree, if you see the plane at the bottom, it is a lot wider, so I'll guess that is a 737. If the 737 is 3-3 seating, the other plane looks as if i
Albird87 : Well i see where your coming from but i just was looking around the airport and the A319s of TAM so i was making a rough guess for it to be an older
Post contains links and images AF340 : It was actually a Varig B733 An easy one at LAS: Liam
Powercube : a TZ 752, perhaps? filler filler
Sailas : yep some kind of 752...
EXTspotter : Its an ATA 752, you can see the top of the T and the tops of the As on the near side of the aircraft.
Lrdc9 : ATA or DL. ProbBLY an ATA 752.
Ready5bird : An ATA 752...parked in the Paridise Holding Pad by the "C" gates.
Post contains links and images AF340 : SYD: Liam
SandroZRH : BA 772?
Post contains images Cytz_pilot : I would say it's an Austrian or Air New Zealand 772 based on the color of the engines, not that color is by any means exact from satellite imagery....
SandroZRH : Hmm, OS uses a lighter blue, and anyone else see that shade of red on the tail? That would rule out NZ aswell.
B747forever : True, It have to be a BA772 as SandroZRH says
EXTspotter : I might have said SAA, but they don't have 777s lol.
FLLspoter : I agree that it is a BA 772. Joe
Powercube : As I can see that very plane from my window- it is a JQ A330.
Phileet92 : hmmm. a Japan Airlines 744?
FLLspoter : Are you nuts! It only has 2 engines, not 4. Joe
Post contains images SandroZRH : I would say most definately no A330. The fuselage appears too wide, and the wings are not A330-shaped. Definately a 777.
Post contains links and images AF340 : What is the middle one? (ZRH) Liam
SandroZRH : Another BA? This time a 767. Good were the days when BA brought 767s to ZRH.
Post contains images OORamper : How about this one?

Post contains images Malaysia : yes its EEK I took it from the window of a AA 777-200ER on route to KIX from DFW.[Edited 2008-01-02 21:04:06]
Coronado990 : Merrill Field, Anchorage, Alaska
Post contains images OORamper : how about this one?
Smcmac32msn : The dreaded blue screen of death? No picture posted.
Powercube : Is that Rio Negro/Medellin Colombia IATA code MDE ?
Post contains images OORamper :
Surfpunk : ^^^ I don't remember what it was, but I remember this same pic from one of the earlier "Name that..." threads.
Post contains images AF340 : I thought it had been too... but looking back at all the pics, I think it's a new one! Liam
Rampart : I often use remote sensing, and I have to laugh when I read something like this, no offense to Surfpunk and B747forever. I sometimes curse the resolu
OORamper : Can no one get this one? I must have chosen a hard one. He he. Good luck!!
Post contains images AF340 : I've been looking around in Europe for it, which continent is it on? Liam

Post contains images AF340 : What airline is this @ MRU? Liam
OORamper : Is it an AF A332? Kinda hard with the cloud covering it.
FLLspoter : i think it is an AF 772 or 773. Joe
B747forever : I say it is a EK a/c. Either a A330 or a 777.
KPWM : I agree. Probably an EK B773
Surfpunk : Oh, I understand fully (that's why I added the "at this level" to my quote). Google Earth is an amazing utility, and it is absolutely technology whic
B747forever : Are you sure?? Seems to big for a 763ER!!!
Surfpunk : Yeah. The striated paint lines at the back of the fuselage near the base of the tail match up with the paint scheme of HM.
B747forever : But it looks like a EK a/c also!!
Surfpunk : Yeah, but the fuselage looks too narrow to be an a330 or 777. Also, if you look at the inboard section of the trailing edge of the wing, the section
B747forever : But if you look at the left side of the a/c, it is two stairs connected to the a/c. The 777/A330 have to doors there, but the 763ER have just one doo
Post contains images OORamper : I agree with all of you!!! EK 773. Only on the 777s is there little black lines on the wings between the engines and the fuselage. For example:
Albird87 : Def a 773. engines way too big for the 763 and she is a big bird this one!! EK 773 would of maybe guessed an AF 77W but looks too clean for that!! :P
Surfpunk : Well, after looking at the pics again, I'm switching my guess to EK as well. The black lines along the inside of the wings tipped the scales for me (n
OORamper : Ha ha totally!!! Plus AF doesn't fly their 77Ws to MRU regularly scheduled. Just 744s and A343s.
Post contains links and images AF340 : It was an EK B773! What airport is this???
B747forever : Great that you have changed your mind!!!

Post contains images AF340 : What continent is it on? Liam
Post contains images OORamper : That'll give it away... Ok it's S. America
Coronado990 : COR, Cordoba, Argentina.
OORamper : See if you give the continent someone will get it. Good Coronado990!!
Post contains images Oly720man : Google glitch here.... the airport is definitely not Newton Municipal... not even the same continent. North is up.
OORamper : UGC, Urgench Airport in Uzbekistan.
Post contains images Oly720man : Yep. Here's another. Don't think we've had that many from this part of the world.
