My guess... lots of demand for US-MEX travel during the holidays, people going home, etc...

I bet many Mexicans will spend the holidays in Orlando.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Probably holiday cruise traffic. Much like MSY was a few weeks back.

Not too many cruise ships calling at Orlando. They have problems with navigating their way across 50 miles of dry land.

It's called Port Canaveral my friend, one of the busiest cruise ship ports in the world. Its less than an hour away from the airport

Where do you think the Disney cruise ships leave from. They have packages that give you a few days in the park and then bus you over to the cruise ships and then you have a 5 day cruise or whatever.

Besides the Aeromexico there was also a Mexicana flight

It could've been for a cruise out of Port Canaveral, that makes sense. Even besides the obvious Mickey love affair there's usually a healthy traffic from Mexico to Orlando.

Then it sounds like I am right. They are going to Disney World.

Sorry. I was thinking of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

What equipment were they using into MCO? Lots of little birds? Would be great to see an AM 777 come into MCO!

Yes my guess would be a cruise ship. You fly in/out of Orlando from wherever your home is, then meet the ship there, or connect to a flight to meet the ship in Acapulco, Cozumel, etc. Many people take the ship from Florida to Mexico and back, or get on the ship in Mexico OR Florida and ride it one way and fly back.

I'm still not sure if it's for a cruise ship tough, might just be extra holiday traffic.

MCO gets the 737-700s and sometimes the -800s. They have incresed the number of flights recently but about a year ago or so it was mostly with MD80 and 757. I'm not sure if any of those 8 flights were wi/ a widebody.

This eight daily flights were undoubtedly extra frequencies during the high season.
AM deploys the MD-80 on Saturdays for the AM 1436 / AM 1437 liking MEX-MCO.
DL also flies MCO-MEX regularly.

Regards.
