The 2nd BAe 146 on delivery to the airline is already on it's way.

Anyone know where the other one stopped at on delivery?

Skyliner shows this one has gone CAI-CIA-PIK-RKV. I'd like to know where it's stopping next

any info would be much appreciated

146s????? Sounds like they need an aircraft for smaller market airports (such as Andahuaylas,..........correct me if I'm wrong), but the 146s? I remember AeroContinente, AeroPeru using them.......loud as hell !!! Loved them. But too bad they couldn't get newer F100s (Wayra's F100s come to mind). Does any one know for what routes the BACs will be used on?

Why are they getting older BAe-146's when they could obtain newer Avro RJ's from Mesaba that are just sittig in the desert? Price?

Dunno about that. You know one of the big selling points of this jet was it's quietness, hence the Whisperjet moniker. I was never a big fan but I don't think loud is a word I would use to describe the 146.

Like someone said, and AFAIK no peruvian airlines have flown this aircraft, perhaps some small operator on a short lease but not the majors. Star Peru has old 737s and Antonovs so this should be a good plane. Maybe they're getting it for operations in short runways.

Aerovias DAP (they just acquired one or two) and Aerosur (years ago).

Sorry didn't see your post, I knew I was forgetting a few! but yeah the Carib Express and KBA air are not in S.America so you're also womewhat wrong LOL  Big grin

Never knew about LAP having any. The Fuerza Aerea Boliviana (TAM -no relation to the Brazilian airline) operates them as pax. and are painted in civilian livery. So yeah definitely quite a few.

Another SOL AIR? where is that startup from? Hadn't heard of it

So anyone knows where it's stopping next on the way down to Peru? I did a quick google search to see if anything came up on forums like aeropuertos.arg and such but didn't see anything

Kaan Beel Air (or however it's written) hasn't started operations yet, I wonder if there are any pix to see how the livery looks like? The same for that new Sol Air.

Thanks for the info, I had missed that SoL Air thread, wow apparently they're already operating.

Man I wish I knew where those Druk Airs are stopping at. I bet it's probably somewhere in florida.

Now here's some trivia:

There's a Latin American airline whose first equipment was the BAe-146. I had forgotten about it and surprised nobody mentioned it yet. Guess who it was...

Guess you're thinking of the BAC 111. The 146 is a very different aircraft. Although called 'whisperjets' I never thought they made just a whisper, but are very quiet compared to the 111 - or any other jetliner from the same era including 727 & 732.

thx! best of luck to them

I just saw on skyliner-aviation.de it stopped in FLL. I wonder if Star Peru is getting any others.

I guess Druk Air got rid of this type completely? Since they now fly A319s

It actually surprises me. I was under the impression that they wanted to keep them, among other reasons for flying around the king of Bhutan?
