With AC to sell off their whole fleet of Airbus A340s by the end of 2008 and with one of them being painted in Star Alliance Colors will any of AC's Boing 777s be replacing the one A340 in Star Alliance Collors?

They just painted an A330 in Star Alliance colors. Not sure if they'll paint a 777.

Perhaps, with the painting of said 330, they're planning on having a Star scheme for each type of widebody they operate. It wouldn't suprise me to see the scheme on one of next year's 77W's.

I have nothing against these alliance liveries but please for the love of god can we have one that's not so bland?

Yeah I know. If its going to be white at least put the Star Alliance logo all over the plane like a pattern, or use different colored star logos.

Star Alliance needs a graphic design team.

I remember back in the day when each of the original 6 airlines had one plane that had the paint schemes of all five of the members over part of the aircraft.

Then as Star Alliance grew some airlines traded in the segmented fuselage paint for small logo boxes along the aircraft.

I'd like to see a 777 in Star colours though...not that we'll ever see it in my town  Sad

With so many airlines associated with that alliance, cant they put their heads together to come up with an impressive livery?

The Star Alliance scheme is butt ugly. There is already an ANA 773 in the livery which will give you an idea of an AC 773 in Star c/s.

Hopefully AC will not soil a new 773 with the Star Alliance colours.

What is odd is that AC has not painted any A319/320/321/E190 in the Star Alliance scheme, while they have painted a CRJ and CR9.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

I hope not, I also think the Star schemes are boring as hell. Even the one with bits of paint schemes of all member airlines. It looks like a car put together with junkyard bits and pieces.

What would really be cool on the 777 would be a retro paint scheme. We already have a TCA retrojet (A319). How about a 777 in the *original* red scheme, with black Air Canada, black anti-glare nose, white maple leaf on the tail? That would rock!

I know Mark. It's ugly as hell.  Smile

I guess a Star Alliance AC 773 is probably inevitable.

That BD Star livery A320 is still flying around today, they really should update it, half the airlines on it are no longer in Star for one reason or another

Next Flights: EI DUB-LHR A320, BA LHR-SFO B744, UA SFO-LAS A320, BA LAS-LHR B744, EI LHR-DUB A320
