I know that DL is running one nonstop for BCS game traffic between MSY and CMH on 1/8/08, but why would they show the route on its interactive route map when it is only operating for one day? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

I've always thought they could do at least a weekend nonstop between the cities.

The route map program that DL (and other airlines) use is automatically generated by reading the weekly schedules. It program cannot differentiate between a one-time flight and a regular flight.

Interesting, I was not aware of that. Thanks for the information.

Actually the interactive route map is probably seeing a continuing flight that probably goes to ATL then on to CMH or which ever airport MSY has direct service for the matter.

If you look at an airport like DRO it says there are flights to several different airport around the nation but in reality they only fly to SLC twice daily.

There is an option that only shows direct non-stop flights on map which should clear that up.

MSY-CMH is showing on the "nonstop only" option. But as far as I know it's only operating on one day.
